Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take custom or personalised orders?

Yes! I love working together on bespoke commissions. If this is something you are interested in, check out the Bespoke page to find out more about the process. Also, check out the Gallery to see my previous creations.

Where do you source your metals and gemstones?

I use AE Ward Gemstones for the majority of the stones and some beads. I use Cookson Gold for recycled silver and gold, some gemstones and beads. I use Spoilt Rotten Beads for Miyuki and other beads.

How do I care for my jewellery?

All metals will tarnish naturally over time. Tarnish isn't permanent and can be polished with cloths or cleaned by a jeweller. To extend the life of your piece, store away from other items to avoid scratching and clean your piece regularly. Remove while swimming, showering and avoid contact with perfums, soaps and moisturisers.

Will my piece be hallmarked?

The UK's hallmarking regulations mean that any piece made from silver weighing 7.79g or gold weighing 1g require hallmarking. I am registered with the London Assay Office for hallmarking. Hallmarking under the minimum weights can be done on request for an additional fee. Please do drop me a message if this is something that you would like.

Can you work with platinum?

Unfortunately not. Platinum requires a completely separate set of specialist and safety equipment.

Why do you no longer use gold plated, gold filled or gold vermeil metals?

I have gone back and forth on this over the years. However, at present, I don't believe using these metals aligns with my ethos around sustainability. I cannot melt down the unused pieces in the same way as silver and gold. These materials also have a shorter shelf life as the coating will eventually wear off. I want your jewellery to last.
